I accidently washed this filter , and my vacuum has lost all suction. I now realise that this was a mistake , if i buy a replacement will my vacuum return to being fully functional.

    Washing the filter is likely to have caused a significant reduction in air flow of your machine. Providing the motor has not been allowed to over heat and damage by replacing the filter the performance should return.
