dc07 dyson makes noise and gives burning smell

noise and burning smell come out of my dc07 Hepa dyson when it is on. I have stopped using it. Want to know the reason.

    We believe it may be due to a motor failure/snapped drive belt if there is a burning smell. The noise may be caused by blockages in the hose or a jammed brushbar.
