Apart from constant leakage from the fridge itself which i assume is not fixable my ice tray overfills with water, not constant but just too much, will this part fix this problem?

If the valve is not working correctly it may be supplying the water when not required, Samsung does have issues with ice build-up causing issues see ES1406833
