fitting the therrmostat

I recognise the part and think I could fit it to the 'mains' connector, but the white wire ? It goes into the back of my freezer, does the replacement just push in, or is it connected to something inside the back?

Answer this Question (1 Answer)

  • Having got the replacement from eSpares, I find that the white 'wire' was in fact the sleeve that the replacements sensor wire goes into. Its reuseable. It then passes trough the wall of the freezer, then into the inside. The original one was held in a small 'case' (which I had not noticed before - did not look properly!)which had to be un hooked from the shelf/wires in the ceiling of the freezer part and reused to hold the sensor wire, take care with the clips on this as I broke one, but put a bit of tape round it and slipped it back on. Very easy replacementg to fit By ian dee - Essex - 08 August 2011
