The backing plate that the door hinges are attached via screws has slipped - I can't remount the door as there is nothing to hold the screws in place. Any suggestions?

I took the door off to replace the door catch not realising that there was a threaded plate behind the outer skin of the oven frame. This has now slipped.

Hello Novice. I think you may need to take your oven out of it's housing to remove the front panel and retrieve the backing plate. Check out this video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/cookers-and-hobs/a/1/1332/how-to-replace-a-grill-element-in-an-electric.html It doesn't actually show how to retrieve the backing plate, but it does give you an idea of how the oven can be removed, so hopefully it'll help you. Best of luck.
