bosch button fitting

hello is this push fit into the drive shaft? if the shaft is broken and stuck inside the button, would i need to replace both. thanks

  • Yes you will have to either drill out spigot in the button and the matching spigot in the handle. Then use a small nail as a new shaft and glue both together I have done both the steam shot and spray buttons (seems to be a weak point on this iron) successfully.
