How do I know when the Temp. Limeter requires changing?

The oven works fine except that it sometimes turns itself off. Could this be thermostat or limeter?

If the fan continues to run it is not usually the limiter. See: How to diagnose problems with your oven http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145
