the seal is in 2 parts why...do you need to glue in place to hold down otherwise it could move...and i small gap where it joins.

We believe these seals are fitted with a adhesive tape that holds them in position in the same was as the foam backed draught excluder for doors. You just remove the backing tape to expose the adhesive coating prior to fixing in position.
