will this be compatible with the gL540
is this compatible with the black and decker GL540 strimmer, and does the millimetre size matter, as my garden is quite overgrown i thought it best to get the thickest wire, could you advise on this, thank you.

As long as the line will fit through the hole in the spool, you can use whatever thickness of wire needed for the amount of grass you need to cut.
