How do you get the spring onto the jockey pulley wheel and how do you get the belt onto it?

I have a Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer model TC71 the belt broke on it and I also noticed that the brass inner part of one of the Jockey Pulley Wheel was worn, I have disconnected the spring which gives a tension for the two pulleys and removed the pulley wheel. I now ordered both the replacement belt and a Jockey pulley wheel. Now I find it very difficult to put either one on, can someone help AND ADVISE
