  Dyson now working like new again 25 June 2022

  I couldn't have fitted this part without the very helpful espares video but it was still quite hard to do. I have decent DIY skills but fitting it probably took me about 45mins all in. The video does point out that sometimes you have to use a bit of 'brute strength' especially when removing/replacing the roller and I found that to be the case. To get the main belt over the motor pulley I looped a bit of thin cord through the belt and was then able to really pull it beyond the pulley and then ease it into position with a screwdriver. However it was all definitely worth the effort and has transformed what was basically a useless Dyson back to full working order. We had been considering replacing the whole thing so this was a much cheaper option.

  This is an original Dyson part, the only difficulty in fitting this is clutch assy is the rubber belts, i was being gentle, doesnt work, they have to be stretched but they fit well and the brush sweeps like new, i did watch video on website and Matt made it look so easy. Excellent service from espares as usual.

  Well Worth Buying 04 January 2022

  Decided to buy a genuine clutch assembly as I was replacing the motor plus switch for our Dyson DC33 Animal. The old one was 10 years old so thought it was worth fitting a new one. Time will tell if this one lasts as long.

  Exactly what was needed 19 November 2020

  Exact replacement parts required: proper quality and perfect fit. Slight caution, the Dyson belt/roller is a swine to fit and leverage can easily damage old plastic case parts. But...machine is back in good working condition and so job saved £200.

  Overdue Replacement 11 November 2020

  I have just fitted a new clutch and motor to my old DC 7, and WOW what a difference it’s made!! I couldn’t believe how much the old belts had stretched, compared to the new belts on the new clutch. I followed the videos on espares, and took my time. No problem recommending espares 👍

  Couldn't be easier! 28 May 2020

  Got the dreaded football rattle noise and found Matt's replacement tutorial on YouTube - thought "I can do that" and next day delivery of parts, sure enough, everything's working again as it should. Even took the opportunity to replace the filters and a cracked hose. Excellent resources and finding all the parts was a doddle.

  dyson now working 11 January 2020

  Our upright Dyson was not picking up properly and the problem was diagnosed as a clutch failure. The part was duly ordered and arrived very promptly, fitted and now our Dyson works as new.
