  I have purchased this product before, actually this will be my third, not always from the same company but the product is the same, these parts while they do the job intended and for a very good price personally I would rather pay more money and have a metal casing which would last more like a lifetime, the problem being is where the carriage locates on 2 pins, one side always breaks off, I have a Vax Mach 3 so does my daughter, both machines have had broken carriages. You get what you pay for, the part does the job no problem about that, it wont last.....unfortunately.

  Direct replacement 21 November 2013

  This replacement has been manufactured in clear plastic rather than the original dark grey but that doesn't mean the quality should be less, very easy to fit and all good so far. The original was broken due to heavy-handedness, the result of asking a grumpy teenage son to do what he'd been asked to do. Lesson learned on both sides and no fault inherent in the cleaners design.

  Good to have my vacuum back in working order 24 September 2013

  It is a little early to judge the part. The original fitting was broken after approximately a year. As this one appears to be made from a different type of plastic so I hope it will not be as vulnerable to breakage as that one was. I am sorry if this is not very helpful to you but this is all I can offer.

  Questionable replacement 05 August 2013

  This is the second time I have purchased this product from yourselves. Whilst your service is great, I could not say the same of the product itself. This is a Chinese copy of the original part and has been engineered and manufactured cheaply. As such it is not as robust as the original part although it does fit the cleaner perfectly.

  We were contemplating throwing our Vax away, until I suggested going on line for the spare part, espares seemed the best bet so we ordered it, it arrived promptly it was easy to fit and we now have a Vax that is good as new, saved us a small fortune in these lean times, thank you espares

  When the part arrived I was a bit nervous, it was clear plastic and I was worried it wouldn't fit and it would be too flimsy. I was wrong! it was easy to fit, it's staying strong and is doing it's job perfectly, I would have no hesitation in recommending this product if the height adjustment has gone on your Vax.
