Received flow through heater from you for the above appliance. Prompt delivery thanks. Fitted it this morning but still not getting hot water. What is this PNC that is required? Have I purchased the wrong heater?

  • I have just fitted a heater purchased from you and it still does not heat water. It is a ZDT6053 dishwasher and I fitted P/N 000050297618006, Is there a thermostat somewhere or are they built into heater? If so what else can it be. I goes through the full cycle but does not heat or dry. By BK - Ireland - 10 September 2018

The PNC code is the production number and is required for some parts, However it would not stop a heater that fitted from working. The fault is likely to be either the control board or thermostat if fitted.

Answer this question

Just purchased and recieved heating element for John Lewis dishwasher. No fitting instructions with it. Phoned help line to ask for guidance told to try Utube for video. none found. Do you have any fitting instructions you can email me? Paul Mc

  • Rory [at eSPARES]- I think you are mistaking this unit for the loop type of element which sit inside the washing chamber. This one for the JLDWW1201 is an inline unit, totally hidden from normal view. The heater element is located right at the back of the machine (lower right when viewed from the front) and you can't gain good enough access through the front panel of the dishwasher because the water filter/sump and main pump are in the way. The best access is when the right side panel is removed. Even then, access is not very good because the heater element is horizontally installed with the far hose clip hard to get at. Poor design from a replacement point of view. By Mark - - 06 June 2011

Hi Paul Mc. Unfortunately we don't have video advice for fitting a dishwasher element, however it's not too difficult. You'll need to remove the panel below the door of the dishwasher and remove the connections to the element from that side. Then, remove the lower basket, and you'll be able to access the element and remove it.

Answer this question

water not heating I think it is this element

  • On my AEG 50860, the element is at the back of the dishwasher. If you remove the bottom back panel you will see it, attached to its input/output pipes by two steel circlips. You'll need a pair of molegrips or strong pliers to undo the circlips. By Anonymous - London - 11 October 2010

We cannot give out technical advice unfortunately. Please contact an engineer for support with identifying the fault with your appliance and for fitting of the replacement part.
