As usual espares videos make it look simple. Took me 10 minutes to do. But over an hour to clean the rest of the machine while I was at it. Looks like new now! delivered early great service.

Dirty ~ sticky, black and leaking - that was the old door seal!!! Excellent ~ was the advice I had fro espares over the phone to make certain i got the one with the little breather thing at the top. Simple ~ how it looked on the spares video on YouTube. Easy~ was the dismantle, renewal and re-assembly of the Bosch washing machine ~ provided you have a set of Torx keys with long and short shafts. VERY PLEASED ~ was the repairman and the repairman's wife. THANK YOU ESPARES !

Tried cleaning the washing machine rubber, but in end decided replacement was best option. thanks to Espares videos, could see it was a do it yourself job. Part arrived quickly and job took 30 mins. did need 2nd helping hand to hold the spring bands in place while feeding around rubber lip, did struggle on own, but overall machine looks new and no more grubby marks on clothes when they rub against the door. Thanks espares

Hi, I had to remove the counterweight to put the seal, but having issues replacing it. Do you have a picture how the counterweight is placed in this model?

The best pictures we can offer are on the attached video at around 3 minutes. The ring appears to be rested onto the front in the surrounding clips and then screws located between these clips are tightened to hold and lock the weight in place.

  • Q The Door does not appear to close with the new seal! 1 Answer

I have rechecked it is the right part, and fit it myself with the very useful online video. But the door does not want to close, and opens up without locking into place! i had a new door catch a while ago and that all seems fine! any help appreciated.

You probably don't want to hear this but it is critical that the seal and its retaining strap are fitted and seated absolutely correctly in the lip of the washer front at all points of the circumference - slightly proud anywhere and the door will not latch closed. Once I had done this the door closed and locked properly.......
