Replacing the door Boot has restored the washing machine to its non leaking state , this how ever was not without problems , not with the part but with the machine design .When taking off the front panel unclip the wiring loom holder (not the clips holding the wiring) from the machine (by pressing the grey plastic bit at the two holding locations on the machine) and then unpug the cable at the door lock as you are unable to unscrew the lock itself .Make sure you have a full set of TORX screwdrivers as a smaller one from the T20 is reqd to remove the screw to take off (on the end of) the control panel (note control panel will not sit on top of machine as the wiring loom very tight . best to leave it at side , but do be careful not to move it as much as possible as wires could be cut on the machine edge. Next remove the tube from the soap dispenser by unclipping it with pliers and pulling it off so you can take out the tube in the old Boot at its other end .When new Boot has been fitted at machine drum push in the tube (note the black line on tube this should be just visable after insertion into new Boot then reclip the other end of the tube to the soap dispenser . Last of all the fitting of the spring wire on new Boot , fit at top first, you will need long nosed pliers and a Gclamp fitted at three o-clock to hold wire in as trying to fit it was impossible even with another person trying to hold it so you could get the last bit of the spring wire to fit .Use the long nosed pliers to stretch the spring by pulling downward (fit the spring at the door hinge ,left hand side at nine o-clock) and the wire should now be able to fit into to Boot rubber slot at the bottom .Hope this helps .

After watching Espares fitting video twice, was able to remove the old seal and fit the new seal in 60 minutes.
  • A product that must have saved me hundreds by doing it myself.

This product is a top quality item. Without the excellent fitting instruction video I doubt if I would have been able to achieve the replacement job. Some engineering knowledge would be advantageous to anyone contemplating the replacing of the seal. Takes about two hours and you need strong hands. My machine has ended up looking and working like new. Thank you espares.

Hi, I had to remove the counterweight to put the seal, but having issues replacing it. Do you have a picture how the counterweight is placed in this model?

The best pictures we can offer are on the attached video at around 3 minutes. The ring appears to be rested onto the front in the surrounding clips and then screws located between these clips are tightened to hold and lock the weight in place.

  • Q The Door does not appear to close with the new seal! 1 Answer

I have rechecked it is the right part, and fit it myself with the very useful online video. But the door does not want to close, and opens up without locking into place! i had a new door catch a while ago and that all seems fine! any help appreciated.

You probably don't want to hear this but it is critical that the seal and its retaining strap are fitted and seated absolutely correctly in the lip of the washer front at all points of the circumference - slightly proud anywhere and the door will not latch closed. Once I had done this the door closed and locked properly.......
