    Easy replacement

The door catch on our Leisure Rangemaster had worn (holes elongated). This part works perfectly. The original was fitted with 2 short 4mm bolts. The fixing holes in the new part are unthreaded, so I tapped the holes to 4mm first. You could use self tapping screws instead. To get at the catch, just remove three self tappers, one is near the catch, and the other two are top and bottom at the catch side, probably hidden under the rubber seal. No need to undo the door completely, you can pull it away enough to reach the catch. Job done in 5 minutes!

Try screwing the 'striker pin' out a little as this may be causing the door to 'pop' when it warms, watch our video: How to Fix a Oven Door Catch or Striker Pin (Belling): http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/3649

Answer this question

The latch on the door will not shut I have looked at the old one and cannot see how you fit it do you have to remove the inner door panel or the outer door panel?
