The silicone drain tube is usually held in place by a spring hose clip. To access and remove this clip it is likely you will have to remove the plastic casing over and around it.
Model 18316 - My deep fat fryer is leaking quite a lot of oil. The only place I can think it is comming from must be via the drainage hose. The handbook does not give any details on how to remove the existing hose and replace it. Is this a relatively simple procedure?

Try drying and wiping with kitchen towels and standing on clean newspaper to identify were the oil is coming from. The condensed steam will carry some oil and tend to leak from the top when the lid is left open to serve. This hose appears to have a rubber lip that holds it in place, check carefully that the old hose doesn't have a insert tube to hold the pipe in place. Ensure when fitted that the hose does not come away easily as this would be very dangerous when full of very hot oil.
