You will need to test the motor and connections, check for any signs of damage to the board.
thanks for reply.filter is clean and is extracting to exterior vent. I am curios .why twin fans do not operate when motor is running as they have electrical cables to each fan ,they spin easily.It seems motor is blowing out to vent, but not sucking up from cooker, which I would have thought was the idea of the fans? Any thoughts?.

If air is blowing it is being drawn from somewhere. Because the surface area is large you may not feel this under the grill but can easily prove this by using a sheet of newspaper to cover the area.
hygena apm 2315 motor works but plastic fans do not turn,cannot feel any extraction.any advice would be most welcome.thanks.

If the fans spin freely and the motor is turning but the hood does not extract check the filters are not blocked and there is no blockage on the ducting or outlet vent.
