thought I'd give this a try as a cheap fix for my belling cooker. fitted ok, jobs a bit fiddly need more hands! but once in and connected all good. Be aware when you remove the existing element the push in connecter can retract through the small access aperture in the back of the grill if this happens then your removing the back of the unit which is time consuming, this happened to me. Tip - When you disconnect the plug in connector bend the lead slightly so it cannot slip back through the hole.

  • Q whats the difference? 2 Answers

could you tell me the difference between the creda 1330 element and the indesit 1330 element apart from the big difference in price, i have an hotpoint bu62 model oven, also is the price for single element or are they supplied in pairs. thanks

Elements are usually sold singularly, as pictured on the website. There may be more than one element listed because they are of different qualities but still compatible, or the parts vary depending on your model. Please confirm the full model number of your appliance to make sure what elements are available for you, as bu62 is incomplete. Told by customer services that the difference is just a quality issue. Bought the cheaper one and works fine. The element comes singularly, so I bought 2 and replaced both. kept the original good one as a spare

  • Q Do I need one element or two? 1 Answer

Hi, I have a FID20 MK2 indesit double oven with combined grill. The grill can be used with only half power so left element works or on full power so both elements work. The left hand element on the top oven / Grill has cracked and now won't work what part do I need? One element or two?

Sorry but this is not clear. If you are saying one element only works on full then that element may have a faulty controller. The other element if cracked is obviously faulty.

  • Q Fitted 2 of these to grill on Hotpoint UY46X now works fine, however when i switch on the top oven the l.h. grill element comes on 1 Answer

During oven use both elements should run and produce ' black heat' where the element is powered but does not glow. if one is glowing there is likely to be a switch problem.
