The "engineer" came and tells me that the circuit board is faulty. The dishwasher does not heat the water but everything else is ok. He says the heater and thermostst are ok. The only circuit board I can see is called the timer. Is there any other circuit board? I have looked at the board and it does look as though one of the parts has overheated and partly melted the solder. Would the fault that caused this be confined to the circuit board or does it indicate a fault elsewhere?

  • When I dismantled front of my dishwasher I didnt see any other circuit boards. This has to be the part you need 10 mins to fit. Cheaper than engineer By Allnicknamestaken - Cambridge - 15 February 2010
  • Had the same problem. Also check pressure switch if OK the fault most likely to be with Timer Board. Replacement Timer Board fixed my problem. By HandyAndyfromSurrey - Surrey - 01 April 2009

Hi eddo, it's a bit scary that it set on fire! Before attempting any repairs I'd ask an electrician to take a look to see if it is still fit for use; these boards should definitely not be setting on fire.
