will this stop the heating of the water if the pressure is too high, or too low?

We have a hotpoint dishwasher which is not heating or drying. Have checked the flow through element with test meter and perhaps ok and don't seem to see any electrical supply from the timer pcb. so wonder if pcb has gone faulty or is being controlled by the pressure switch

Hi georgie, this sensor doesn't control the heat of the water, but rather senses if the water pressure has dropped to a level that won't clean dishes. I'm afraid the lack of heat to me points towards the element - have a look to see if the wires are connected properly at the element end and the PCB end.
