Just purchased a new qualcast lawnrake positioning lever from you.I can't seem to get the old broken one off. Does it just pull away?

  • As Jimdee says, if you look down the side of where the round part of the handle fits over the 'spindle' on the outer casing, you'll see a tiny 'nipple' that you can push in with a screwdriver as you ease off the handle. By Paul D - - 03 July 2012
  • Yes, the old handle is well bedded in and needs a gentle lever out with a flat bladed screwdriver. Also, watch out for the spring loaded red safety button on the positioning lever. Keep your free hand over it when you lever the old lever off just in case it bounces off and is lost. By robjrees - Carmarthen - 22 May 2010
  • The outer casing has a little "nipple" which engages with the cylinder part of the lever and you should gently with a screwdriver prise outwards the casing to allow the cylinder to come up and out of the pillar on which it rotates. By Jimdee - sheffield - 25 August 2009
