  How to fit in 2 minutes 23 October 2021

  Hold the receiver box with the open face towards you (you can see wires and the switches). The switches are at the top and the screw holes are at the bottom. - Hold the slider in the appropriate plane underneath the slide apature - slide the plastic switch up and into the apature until the control fin slides to the off position. - the slider will almost be totally home - a little firm pressure on the underside of the other end (the left of the slide switch if you have the orientation as I described at the top) - a small Click and the switch is home Simply align the switches with the sliders and fasten back up

  It's for the motor not the light 22 May 2020

  It took a while to convince myself that this was the correct part as espares don't list my exact model and they label it as a light switch. However cross-checking with other websites gave me confidence. Once it finally arrived 8 days after the despatch confirmation I was all set for a battle fitting it based on other comments but my daughter pointed out that it just pops in if you're careful, no force required. Now it's in I'm very happy and will soon forget paying so much for 4 grams of ABS plastic.

  Don't bother unless you are certain it will fit 18 November 2017

  Bought it for a HOO C11S and broke both the part and housing trying to force it to fit. Probably better to buy the whole housing. It may have fitted but it requires a lot of force to get it in and frankly you need a bit of luck when applying that much pressure to plastic parts.

  Hassle-free replacement 26 February 2015

  A bit pricey for a very small part, but beats jamming a knife in the slot where the switch should be! Our extractor hood is an Elica Tamaya, but the part is identical to the original and was easy to fit. The switch now works a treat. Speedy despatch and delivery, too. Thank you.

  Whilrpool Cooker Hood Fan Slider 12 September 2014

  After 10 years of use, the old fan slider snapped in the middle. It was great to find the part on ESpares and they supplied an exact replacement within 2 days of ordering - fantastic. It may be just me but the fitting took over 2 hours !! Really awkward to force the small lug slider holder of the control box without snapping or damaging the visible edge of the slider. In the end it was a don't give a damn anymore attitude that got it in and luckily the damage was minimal.
