  More expensive than white vinegar 31 March 2012

  I had purchased these previously but my washing machine was still 'suffering' from smells and mould until a very helpful engineer advised me of the use of white vinegar - it has worked a treat and is less expensive.

  Used this to try to clean the rubber around the washer door and get rid of the smell. Not in a hard water area so no bother with limescale. The washer action is not sufficient to cause the door to get enough cleaning action. Probably why it gets like this in the first place. Also the crystals did not all dissolve when the washer filled up. had to pour hot water in through tray to clear.

  Somewhat disappointed 15 November 2010

  Although in individual packets, this 'powder' is solid - it took some brutal treatment with a rolling pin to reduce one to a usable state. My usual product leaves my dishwasher sparkling and smelling fresh; the result from this product wasn't so obvious and failed to impress.

  Poor Results 24 September 2009

  The product was supplied as a hard dried lump, detracting from the packet instructions, ''Pour contents into machine dispenser". After crushing the product in a bowl it was placed in the washing machine, an LG premium model, 2 years old, the temperature set to 60 degrees. Results, scum evident on interior of glass door, and deposits inside the detergent dispenser. Not impressed!

  Descaling dishwasher/washing machine 30 March 2009

  I was impressed with the description, probable end result and ease of use of this product. When new, the dishwasher seemed to work better. The inside of the dishwasher looked clean prior to using the product. The next wash, however, did not appear to make a difference. I was disappointed. Had it worked or not?

  So far I've only used one sachet, in a 5 year old Bosch washing machine. It hasn't cleaned up the soap compartment any, or improved the smell. Maybe with regular use from new it would have had a better chance.
