  Before fitting this drum shaft, run the mounting screws down the holes. The bores aren't threaded so trying to get the first mounting bolt started when struggling to hold the drum and drum shaft is a 'challenge'

  Delivery was super fast however there is no way to remove the old one off the tumble dryer drum as it appears spot welded/riveted in place therefore the purchase was useless even though the online store said this would fit my model of tumble dryer and listed it as a spare part.

  Although it says this part is a suitable replacement for my Hotpoint TVF760 it is not just a simple exchange as shown in the video, and as such is useless, having bought all the necessary pieces to make the repair I've wasted Thirty Five pounds. I have no concerns about the quality or value only the suitability of this drum shaft for my model.

  Unless you're really confident and have a little hands on experience fitting this part can be a little tricky to say the least.Having 50 years experience in the plumbing trade I'm used to getting my hands cut and scratched, so it's not advisable for anyone to attempt this job without complete confidence. I must add that the videos are extremely helpful in making one decide to attempt any work. A little help is also needed to hold the new part in place while the screws are inserted from inside the drum.
