A very nice globe shaped lamp. It emits light very easily when connected to the electricity supply. The effect is to require the oven to be cleaned, which is a considerable nuisance. But all things considered the lack of burnt cakes is a benefit or you could say the lack of cakes at all is a benefit. When this lamp finally gives up it ghost and I am forced to purchase another one, only then will I know if it really does represent good value for money. I bought two and I intend to plant one in the garden in the hope that when it grows in the spring I can take cuttings and thus save on my considerable costs of buying a four-pound bulb every five years or so. I find I have one or two already in store but they lack the somewhat erotic globe shape and I believe they were meant either for a sewing machine or for a refrigerator. Thus I can have little but praise for this very enlightening piece of equipment. (Have I said enough yet ?). If not I better continue but without hesitation or digression for another minute or so. I knew it was foolish to buy this dragon naturally speaking so that I can talk to my computer rather than type it all in. I wonder why they want at least a minimum number of characters about a light bulb. Light bulbe ares dear to my heart most of them having given way to these inefficient electronic monstrosities which take five minutes to come on. Most old fashioned bulbs are inefficient we are told because most of their energy comes out as heat. But when Iask you in this cold country of our do we need light but not heat. This whole foolish idea came from Australia where tye may have warm-dark nights but here the 500w of ligt bulbs my sitting room requires also contribute valuably to the necessary heating so I do not begrudge the heat from the bulbs. ANy way an oven bulb clearly can be said to be used ina place where heat is required so since all energy conversion is complelety efficient if heat is what you want then these bulbs are just what you need. The fluorescent bulb con is just a bgi con by manufacturers to sell a lot more expensive items. They have conned the government. Well I am tired of this and I have just checked that the bulb is still working so I will leave my short essay on oven lights for now. -- Dave
