  First time fitting hinge mechanism 31 October 2017

  The door on our dishwasher kept falling open. I spoke to e-spares, who told me I just needed to remove the side panels, not the door! This made life a lot easier. They said it was likely to be the cords, not the springs. After dismantling, I saw why, the springs are very strong. I fitted the cords in an afternoon. I also fitted a metal rod through the plastic cam, so it will not break in the future.

  Good advice and correct part 10 November 2015

  The support cord for the tension spring on the door of my Lamona dishwasher snapped and I went straight to eSpares' website to look it up. I have always been able to find various parts in the past using the excellent system but on this occasion my particular model was not shown for the part I needed. I then used the 'chat online' service to speak to a representative who quickly confirmed the identity of the part and assured me that although not listed as applicable to my appliance it was correct. Apparently not all models are listed for some items. Subsequently I received the parts and was able to replace these easily. I am reasonably competent in DIY but must mention that the videos on espares' website are very useful. Will not hesitate to use this company in the future.
