  in view on site was for round corners and square, but wasn't given round corners in the fitting pack. Had to bodge the seal to fit it.

  Very hackable 14 August 2015

  The blurb told me that this was only to be used on ovens with right angle corners. My old seal had curved corners but I decided to take a chance. By using the old metal parts and the new seal it worked a treat. I even have enough seal left over for future repairs. Only problem is I'm burning stuff as I had gotten used to so much heat escaping.

  product was fair value for money easy to fit, the only down side with product is that it does not stick to the lining of the grill/oven, so it hangs down slightly, making it look unfinished.

  Might be ok on others but not for Cannon Keswick 30 September 2013

  It was easy to install but it is not ideal for the cannon Keswick as it has bumperstops on which stick out more than the seal so there was a gap. had to remove bumperstops. Some heat still escapes but it should do for now.

  Belling DB3 27 August 2012

  I made the decision to use this and a similar lower seal for a Belling DB3 main oven. Whilst the product is a good one, it is not compatible with this oven. It is not deep enough to make a good seal, and as a result lets a lot of heat out. This can be seen when you compare it with the genuine one. If you have a Belling DB3, go straight for the genuine parts. If you want to experiment with a universal one, you can get far cheaper than this one. If however this will fit your oven then I'd say it is a good quality part.

  Fittings not so universal 05 November 2009

  What lets this product down is the fact that they only supply 4 clips to fit it to the oven door, 2 of which can only be used if the seal goes into a groove with a right-angle turn in it. It would have been better to supply more straight-line clips, to give greater flexibility for fitting something which is claimed to be a "universal" product. Price-wise, this seal kit is a little pricey but not too bad. However, the meanness of the supply of clips tends to push it into the "slightly overpriced" category. One other thing to bear in mind: the design of the clips is such that, once you've pushed them into the sealing strip, you can't remove them without damaging it. This is another reason why they should supply more general-purpose clips instead of (or as well as) the less generally useful right-angle ones.
