  Fast delivery, fitting it though.... 25 October 2012

  Took nearly an hour (didn't remove door as it wasn't really a hindrance), the main problem was getting the inner seal on properly and the retaining spring which required an extra pair of hands provided by my wife. Could have been worse though and at least it doesn't leak.

  There must be an easier way. 09 May 2012

  You don't need to take off the top of the machine, just remove the door. You need Star bits to do it. The old gasket is held in with a plastic securing ring around the outside that was fiddly to remove; 2 small screwdrivers to prise apart the locking teeth did it. The gasket the pulls out through the front hole to reveal a large circular spring that is for holding the gasket to the inner frame so don't lose it! Fitting the inner seal is hard but made easier if you smear a little washing up liquid round the rubber. NOT too much or you won't be able to hold it!! Once that is on you now need to refit that circular spring. Having only one pair of hands I had to use about 4 mini g-clamps to hold it in place as I stretched it round. That done the Gasket is fitted to the outer casing and the plastice retainer needs refitting. Use the little screwdrivers again to close it up tight.3 broken finger nails, a bruised thumb much cussing and 2 hours later the machine was back together and now runs like a dream with no leaks. I'm sure Mr Zanussi has an easier way to do it. However, it was well worth it to save on the cost of a new machine or for a "repairman" to come out. Thanks espares... I'll be back!

  Video could be misleading- check your model 19 March 2012

  Product was good, but fitting was not as shown in the video. Tricty Bendix model did not have a removable front panel so access was tight and took about 20mins to fit.

  tricity bendix door seal 14 February 2011

  the door seal for my tricity bendix machine was the exact match for my model,after watching the video on how to fit the seal it looked quite straightforward,the only difference is it can be fitted without moving the machine or taking any panels off.once the old seal is removed the re-fitting is simple.all you need is another pair of willing hands to hold the top of the retaining spring on to the ridge then prise the bottom over the lower part,the front of the seal is simplicity itself to fit.by the time it`s fitted and the retaing loop tightened, the afore said extra hands can be getting the kettle on to make a well earned brew,,while you sit back and rejoice in the fact you`ve saved at least £60 in call out fees...e-spares is now firmly in my addresss book just in case their services are required again..
