  Absolute rubbish 01 September 2021

  Do not waste your money this is not fit for purpose it showed it was computable with my cooker but did go any where near to fitting it. The hooks supplied do latch onto the oven rim or go into the hole, they just pop out and the rubber is too thick to sit in the groove. Total rubbish.

  Some minor problems but seal does the job 18 August 2021

  No tracking number was provided by eSpares and Royal Mail failed to leave a card when they tried to deliver while I was out. I rang eSpares to ask where my parcel was and they gave me the tracking number and I was able to get a delivery. Memo to eSpares - give the customer the tracking number! There have been mixed reviews about this door seal. If you are thinking of buying one, read the reviews first for tips and how-to's. In my case, I found that the barbed corner hooks supplied would not go in the corner holes of my Baumatic oven. I had to re-use the existing unbarbed hooks but the door seal tends to slide off them at one corner. I think this might be because I cut the seal a fraction too short and the elasticity of the seal just slides it off. Luckily, there was enough unused seal left over to allow me to cut a longer section - fingers crossed it solves the problem!

  Poor quality difficult to fit 16 August 2021

  I have purchased two oven seals they have a short hook and do not enable a tight fit on the oven door I have wasted time and money and I am disappointed

  Disappointing fixing for seal for Rangemaster Teledo 05 August 2021

  The universal seal with corner fixing failed to provide a secure firm fixing when being held in place by the metal corner hooks. We have returned for refund.

  Agree not universal without creativity 29 July 2021

  I can no longer get a seal for my 20 year old Britannia small oven so this was my only option. Easy to fit but, as everyone says, too thick and mine melted when the oven was on. A big shout out to Rob's review for the idea - I too cut the top off along the groove (easy) and also cut an extra centimetre off the lengths (btw easy to take off serrated corners). It now works so worth persevering!

  Beware, it's not universal! 08 June 2021

  Bought two of these for my double oven Whirlpool cooker. Fitting was straightforward and in both cases it attached around the oven opening with the four prongs supplied. But neither door would close due to the seal being too thick. Rather than being left with no seal at all I decided to cut the thickness down by removing the protruding lip at the front. Did this for both top and bottom oven and it seemed to work OK. If this protruding lip was somehow made to be 'removable' then it really would be Universal. The problem is describing it as universal when it clearly isn't.

  Oven door seal failed, looked this up and watched the video - when the seal arrived just followed the instructions - piece of cake!

  Unfortunately, the Universal 4-Sided Oven Door Seal is not universal. Fitted to my oven, the door does not close fully & the oven will not hold its heat in use. Pity since eSpares is a reliable company, with excellent instructional videos & good products – but not this one. Definitely not recommended.
