  Does more than it says. 11 July 2020

  I bought this cleaner to clean the bottom of my iron which had become scruffy. I followed the instruction and applied the cream to the iron plate with the result that most of the muck came of first go. I applied a second coat and the residue came totally off leaving a nice new shinny bottom plate. I bought my sister some, all irons should come with it free of charge.

  This product really does the job, it is easy to use and quick. However, always apply the product to a cloth then rub into the sole plate on the affected area, the finally all over. But be careful the sole plate will be slippy, my iron shot of the board.

  Unbelievable how easy it is to clean sole plate of the Iron, Just heat and apply paste with a dry cloth and the gunge just disappears.

  A clean Iron at last 27 July 2017

  My wife kept trying to clean the soleplate on her steam iron with little success so I did a bit of a search and came across this product. It really works but open the windows as it does cause fumes as it strips the chemicals and burnt material off the soleplate. You will need an old cotton cloth / towel to apply a 50mm area with cleaner and place on the iron board, put the iron on hot (no steam) then rub the iron across the cloth with a some elbow grease and it will eventually do the trick.
