Heating Element- Easy to fit 10 July 2021

Searched for a solution to the problem, the website linked to a fitting video, once the faulty part was determined the correct replacement part was established via the website, ordered, fitted and now working just fine, saved £100’s against using an engineer or buying new machine.

Easy to fit element 14 April 2016

I was pleasantly surprised about finding a video on the espares web site that showed me how to fit the element. I would have had a go even if there was no video but this gave me the confidence to know that it was only a 15 minute job. It was....very straight forward.

It is what it is 09 October 2014

Purchased this for a Zanussi washer/dryer when the original element failed. Competitively priced and seems to be decent quality. Easy to fit after watching espares online videos. Washing machine back up and running for a lot less than the cost of an engineers call out. Only time will tell how good the item really is but if it outlasts the original ( a bit less than 5 years) then that will be a result as the machine will be 9+ years old and ready for replacing if not already replaced.

As always quick delivery from espares. Easily fitted in 15 mins through back panel of JLWM1604. Hot wash is now HOT. Quality looks great + a bit cheaper than original parts. V Happy ;)

    Easy replacement 04 August 2014

The hardest part was pulling the old element out of the washing machine casing. This type of element is held in place by the expansion of a rubber ring when the clamp nut is tightened. Fitting the new one took minutes.

If this makes you a fortune don't forget where the idea came from OK 07 March 2014

I was reluctant to buy a new washer because I felt the washer still had lots more life left in it. I knew for certain that the element had gone because I live in a hard water area and hard water - gives such water heating products a very hard time. Always disconnect the washer before you do any work on it. After that procedure the only catch - about the job was removing the element itself. Make sure the nut in the centre of the element has to be been loosened off to take the tension on the rubber mounting to make removal possible. Then the element base has to be teased out gently side by side first left and then right bit by bit with something like a cheese headed screwdriver ... take it easy. I must say that we didn't know that the element had failed for some time it would be handy if espares could commision something like the plastic temperature indicators we use on our windows to find out the external temperature. This would be great for Washing Machines maybe something like the Newcastle Brown bottle blue star which turns blue when it has reached the right temperature lets have a head down display for our washing machines eh? We could put such a handy devide on the glass front of our washing machines letting us know if the element was working If this makes you a fortune don't forget where the idea came from OK!!!!!! I must say that we didn't know that the washing machine element had failed for some time

The simple symptom of a failed element is the machine will not finish a hot wash cycle as they wait until the water reaches the required temperature before continuing.
