Very happy with my purchase 12 September 2018

I've ordered Magnetic Freezer Door Seal and I am happy with my purchase. It was not so easy to fit it in, but that was mostly because the metal had a bit of rust and therefore had lost the original shape. Otherwise the seal works quite well; surely it is not as good as the original one , but that could have been expected. The life of my freezer has been prolonged now.

Not as easy as the video suggests 01 October 2017

This was bought specifically for a Zanussi model but there were no fitting instructions with the delivery. Scouring the eSpares and other videos gave me some idea but the job required some nimble agility. I had assumed that as a magnetic seal it did not need to be seated in a slot but this was wrong. So it took a long time to clear the slots when I worked out where it was to go. However, more caution needs to be emphasised as being too hasty with the Stanley knife can hack at the slot itself. Contrarily you need to work at trimming as much of the old seal as possible,. Easiest done when the main bit is off. I also found a need for fine tweezers (to get bits out that were stuck in the slot), and an small screwdriver to work in the corners which were tight. Also to run down the slots to clean them (wrapped in an antiseptic wipe). Seems to be OK now, but time will tell, I suspect I may need to return to adjust it over time,

Tricky to fit 07 March 2017

The new seal was needed for the freezer door of a John Lewis fridge freezer. The most helpful advice for both the removal of the old seal & the fitting of the new one was found online. The leaflet accompanying the new seal was misleading. In the end we had to taken the doors off the unit, cut out the soft part & the magnetic strips from the old seal, fit the new one - lots of pushing & easing in needed - then reassemble the doors. Once done, the replacement seal works well.

Good replacement door seal 10 March 2016

I bought this to replace the door seal on a Zanussi ZRB934PW fridge freezer. Cutting the old one off the door was straightforward if a little nerve racking. The new seal fitted really well - it is difficult to see the difference between the original (when new, obviously...) and the replacement. The freezer doesn't ice up as it did before the seal was replaced, so I quess that the appliance must be using less electricity. It was expensive, but it has extended the life of the fridge freezer and over time it might end up paying for itself.

Best buy yet 05 October 2015

The seal was easy enough to fit once I had figured out that you need to cut the old seal from the door. I can't believe the difference, the freezer doesn't frost up any more.

Good quality product 09 October 2014

Very quick service by next day delivery. Easier to fit than the last one from 4 years ago, but would advise anyone fitting to work the corners into the rim first.

Does the job 28 November 2013

Not hard to fit, though you have to be a bit careful not to pinch or fold the internal rubber flaps. If you do, you can feel the slight lump as you run you finger round the face of the seal. Clipped in better than the fridge seal, no glue needed. Very little frosting up now.
