  Second one fitted +++++ 06 August 2021

  Over the past 10 years and two Siemans washing machines, I have had to fit new door seals. This second one looks as if it has been upgraded, however the fitting etc was much the same. Still difficult to fit the second steel sprung but that is just a Siemans issue. The video help from Espares requires updating as my machine is a IQ 500 which has a few differences when taking the front panel off and the door locking mechanism. Overall I am happy now it’s fitted and water tested, Espares still easy to deal with and a fast delivery

  Good quality but difficult to fit 16 May 2020

  Purchased to replace a damaged the seal on an 8 year old Siemens iQ300 model number WM12P360GB. Disassembly is easy enough. There are a three circuit plugs to disconnect on this model - two in the front panel and one for the door lock but these are straight-forward enough. Removal of the old seal is easy. However, its then very difficult to 'click' the seal properly into place on the outer rim of the drum and very difficult to replace the drum retaining band because the front facing weights on this model of machine cannot be removed because they are glued on. If your machine allows you to remove the front facing weights - if they are simply bolted into place for example - fitting should be no bother because you'll have plenty of space to get your hands and fingers in the right places, other than the difficult (and painful) task of replacing the metal retaining bands. There's probably a tool for replacing the band which would help greatly other than using brute strength to stretch the band and wreck your fingertips! Bottom line - not at all as easy as the demonstration video suggests but if you can remove the front facing weights you should be fine. Also, start to seal the drum from the bottom to make sure the three holes end up where they should be. Got there in the end but took the best part of 2 hours.

  Straight forward to fit and solved the leak 03 April 2020

  The seal was an exact match for the old one. My machine was a Bosch WAT28370GB/13 which was a little different to get the cover off compared to the video (3 hex-head screws under the front sill needed removing and the lock interface is fixed to the front so had to leave this connected while I did the seal). I did find I needed to take one of the counter-weights off to get the new part on securely. I also found some plastic tyre levers from a cycle repair kit helped manouver the seal into place! All went together easily - I took the opportunity to remove the soap-dispenser unit and get rid of the persistent mould while I had the machine apart. And the leak is sorted.

  Seal renewal 08 July 2018

  Expensive for siemens original spare part but having replaced brushes on the motor recently (OM), i found that using original parts gave the better option and a good fit .

  Good quality item. 16 September 2017

  After watching the self help videos I decided to have a go and replace the seal on my Siemens washer. The replacement seal came with both front and rear spring retainers but I was able to use the existing pair. I took my time doing the job in hand but I definitely needed a second pair of hands to re - fit the front, door retaining spring. Job done now and enjoyed doing it. Seal looks good when fitted.

  Expensive but worth it 18 August 2017

  I bought a replacement door seal for my Bosch washing machine as the years of using the thing everyday meant that it had staining and, towards the end, unpleasant odours. I found the part easily from the model of washing machine and the instructional video, even though not for my exact washing machine, was enough for me to do it myself. The replacement wired springs were very fiddly and tough to get on, but there are reasons for that! Have used the washing machine several times since fitting the new one and no more odours!

  Great product - interesting to fit! 31 July 2017

  Great product and a perfect fit. Take your time over fitting, it is not as easy as the E Spares video suggests. Counter Weights need to be removed and there is some tight fitting electronics to contend with.
