  A Bit Fiddly to Fit, but Worth the Effort 14 March 2021

  Arrived on time and well wrapped, in good condition. It proved a bit more of a challenge to fit than the video led me to expect, because that was made on a slightly different model. Still, the principles were the same and the time spent working out the detail was well worth it to save the call-out charge (£99 via Bosch)

  Exactly what it says on the tin 15 February 2019

  Bosch SMS40C12GB Dishwasher, 4 years old, pretty unimpressed that the detergent dispenser has failed (little sliding door doesn't open automatically during wash). Thanks to this site, and a helpful, experienced mate it was a straight swap and relatively easy to do. Ease of fitting 4/5 simply because you need to apply quite a lot of careful pressure to make sure the plastic lugs "click", ensuring a watertight seal. Inspection of the old unit showed it had failed because there was liquid inside the solenoid, so getting a decent seal on the replacement item is crucial.

  Perfect fit replacement 20 December 2018

  Leaking rinse aid from seal of my integrated unit, I had decided to replace component rather than try securing a replacement seal. Neff dishwasher proved more complicated to dismantle than help video suggested. A top control panel and a bottom cover plate had to be removed to access. Removal ok, but fitting new unit was tricky. Despite lubing seal, wasn't able to get enough pressure to secure properly under bottom clips because of door distorting. Really needed extra pair of hands to reassemble as I dropped a screw behind kitchen unit kick board whilst wrestling with the covers! Would have been better if I had used hand clamps to retain first. Once fully reassembled with door cover, I was able to exert more pressure on dispenser and heard a satisfying click as the metal securing clip fully engaged. Leak now fixed.

  Excellent service 27 November 2013

  I looked on the e-Spares site to see about obtaining a replacement dispenser for our Bosch dishwasher. Not only did I easily find exactly what I needed to buy, I was presented with an incredibly clear and precise video on how to replace it. That removed any doubt that I would (a) buy the spare rather than think about replacing the dishwasher, and (b) that I would buy it from a source that went to this kind of trouble to inform and encourage customers (Bosch were unhelpful and grumpy about any questions at all).
