Not thick enough for a direct AEG replacement 28 March 2016
Bought to replace the washer in an AEG 'leakproof' hose but, although thicker than a standard hose connector washer, these are still not as thick as the original - so ball valve handle had to be modified to allow hose connector to be fully tightened.

The item I purchased was merely a Filter/ Seal for the flexible cold water hose leading to a washing machine. The quality of this item is excellent, and it was easy to fit. Not only that, but it sealed perfectly first time without having to over tighten. The information given for this item was just right, sizes being key. The alternative was to fit a new hose with standard open washers, but the filter after all is in for a purpose.

Bought a siemens washing machine with a short cold water inlet hose with a filter at the input end. Bought a longer hose that did not have a filter at the input so got this to recreate the siemens one. Fitted fine and have a spare for future.

The water inlet hoses to our Siemens washing machine were leaking. On removing the washers we discovered that they were these rather unusual ones with filters which we were unable to buy locally, so we looked on-line. I'm happy to report that these fitted perfectly and we now have a fully functioning, non-drip washing machine again.

Very easy to fit, just prise out the existing washer and replace with the filter. Essential if you have foreign matter coming through your water system, and, into your washing machine.
