  the new handle was exactly the same as the old handle and fitted directly without the need for modification. Simply a matter of unscrewing old handle and screwing new into position with the same screws.

  Was exactly as per the original handle and took less than two minutes to fit. That said however, its extremely expensive for what essentially is a piece of moulded plastic, particularly as you don't get the screw cover with it.

  Perfect fit - but would have liked the adhesive strip included 07 August 2013

  Pleased to find replacement for split fridge door handle, particularly considering age of the fridge. No problems with fitting, but would like to see adhesive strip provided to cover and protect the screws. Previous one was damaged when removing old handle.

  This is the third handle for our Whirlpool ARG 716 fridge in about 16 years. It's functional and reasonably well made. In time the screw fixing holes tend to fracture around the screw and hence splinter and break off, then the handle departs from the fridge itself. I can see no improvement in design third time around, but just have to live with it's limitations. For the price it would have been nice to have included a set of new screws and the plastic trim to cover the screws. Remember to carefully peel off the old top trim and retain this for the new one. Dont be surprised to find the screw heads have rusted so be careful when removing them, you'll need these as well, hence my previous comments. At least on this incarnation there is a slight ridge to enable grip on the under side, but some may find this to be sharp. In Summary, overall it does what it's designed to do.
