  @DCH: mine lasted 7 years 2 months (looking at when I last bought one). I think that is reasonable. The dryer gets normal family use, always on "high". We can dry outside some of the year. To be fair, there are two elements here, and we really only notice when both have gone so maybe 5 years is a reasonable estimate of the mean time to fail. It has the same ES part number, but is slightly cheaper this time. We have to trust that ES have maintained the quality. Easier to fit than the belt, but involves some dismantling and unplugging wires (spade connectors). Take pictures.

  This e-spares element is £40 cheaper than the Whitknight version. Visibly there is no difference to the original. Time will tell if it lasts as well.

  Tumble Dryer element replacement 11 January 2018

  The element blew on my White Knight basic tumble dryer. Easy enough to take out and the photo on E Spares made it easy to identify the replacement. I suggest taking photos before dismantling to aid reassembly as building back up is a little more tricky than the strip down. Good Service from E Spares.
