Solved the problem 23 December 2020
Motor had stopped running - just before Christmas (the critical need circuit had kicked in again!). Ordered set of brushes on next-day delivery, they arrived around mid-day, and the machine was running again by mid-afternoon. Tricky bits: removing the motor, because unlike in the video the back of my machine can't be removed, so the motor had to be levered off the mounts rather than pulled; and compressing the brush springs into the holder, but a small screwdriver helped as I fed each spring in coil by coil. Next day delivery from eSpares is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend eSpares.

Google search of washing machine fault brought me to the espares 'how to' video on youtube. espares database on their website made selecting the correct part easy. Ordered part at 6pm on a Wed and it was delivered at 2pm on Thurs (also impressed with the service/communication offered by DPD). The how to video was easy to follow and gave me the confidence to try replacing the part myself and ultimately saved me a fortune. Many thanks espares (and DPD)

Replacement washing m/c brushes 07 April 2020
Worn out brushes are the main reasons washing machine drums stop rotating. E-spares range is excellent and easy to select because of the pictures and cross reference information. Overall job is relatively simple if you're a bit of a diy'er.

Carbon brushes 07 April 2020
One of them seemed a bit tight. But so was the old one that I removed (or what was left of it). A bit of a hoover out and a spray of contact cleaner and it fitted ok. Had to take the motor out. Hoping I wouldn't have to and the brass bits were a bit fiddly but by no means the worst or hardest repair I've had to carry out. For £8odd and an hour of my time, the machine is buzzing away back in the laundry doing what it should!

Bosch washing machine replacement motor brushes were good value and fitted exactly. This has given machine a new lease of life. Original brushes lasted 17 years - We'll be very happy if new ones do the same !!

Good replacement parts 08 March 2021
The parts were good, took longer to arrive than expected. fitting, The video available on the website is too generic, its sort of a help but the model I have wasnt that easy to access, but it was a guide. Unfortunatly it didnt fix the Bosch motor problem as the tacho was blown by the excess carbon
