  Not quite an exact replacement 23 May 2023

  Bought this element as a suggested replacement for a Smeg SUK92MFX5 but it was not identical, the original element had 3 mounting holes in the bar holding the electrical terminal end of the element, this replacement only has 2 - I had to drill the extra hole (between the 2 electrical terminals) to align with the fixing holes in the back of the oven. A bit of a nuisance but doable. Also just to note the terminal posts were about twice as long as the originals but luckily there was plenty of room through the holes in the rear of the oven to accommodate them; lastly this replacement had straight single spade connection on each terminal whereas the original element had "double" spade connections on each terminal allowing piggy backing of electrical wires to connect in a chain to another element - luckily not needed for my particular oven. All in all a lot cheaper element than the Smeg originals, and really not too much hassle to get it to fit my oven

  Matching replacement part 27 March 2023

  The eSpares videos was helpful. However, the warning to be careful in removing the old oven element to make sure to bring the connectors through the back of the oven. Otherwise, if not brought through it would be necessary to remove the back of the oven to gain access to the connectors. In this Whirlpool oven the connectors just slipped off when removing the element necessitating removal of the casing at the back of the oven.

  It fits my smeg 17 January 2023

  Really easy to replace the element in my smeg. Only had to drill a small 4mm hole in the centre of the mounting plate as the holes were either side on this component and didn’t suit.

  Saved a fortune - Highly recommend 07 January 2023

  Espares again providing excellent products which allow white goods to be maintained rather than dumped and new appliance bought. My cooker kept tripping the circuit and this replacement element has fixed the problem and saved £100s on a new oven. I have bought quite a few items over the years and have always been impressed by the price and quality.

  Purchased for older Smeg oven 02 November 2021

  Two notable issues with this part. First, there is no connector for an earth wire. While earthing may be unnecessary on the connector plate as the oven as a whole is earthed, my oven has an earth wire to connect to the heating element plate, and now there is nothing to connect it to. I needed to take the back off the oven to pull the earth wire clear and make it safe with electrical tape. This was considerably more effort than changing the element. Second, the connectors for Live and Neutral are set considerably further back from the fixing plate than original Smeg parts, an extra 2cm or more. Because the back plate on my oven was dented, this caused the connectors to press against the back plate. Again, with a little effort I've bent the back plate back into shape, but the connection points for the heating element are the points sticking furthest out of the back. As such, I'm only giving the part 3 for "ease of fitting" with my Smeg oven.

  Genuine item at aftermarket prices. 07 April 2021

  I received the item next day. Upon fitting I found this item to be identical to the genuine Smeg item I removed. It even had the same makers mark and codes on. Very happy indeed.
