  This part was described as a felt bearing which was what I needed but when it was delivered I found it to be made of foam rubber with a thin layer of felt and was therefore much softer than the solid felt part it was to replace. I fitted it but it soon broke down. Not happy at all.

  The idea is a good one to use felt as a bearing but maybe it needs to be on something other than a foam backing. This is the fifth time I have had to replace the felt on this drier. Thankfully you carry the parts

  Zanussi Dryer Drum Front Bearing Felt 03 February 2009

  Access is by removal of the front of the machine. The new felt is easy to fit (put the join at the bottom for less chance of it being peeled off in use) but if the old adhesive is not thoroughly removed the new felt may not stick properly and get torn off by the drum. I found petrol would soften it but not desolve it completely so it was necessary to scrape it with a screwdriver or similar. Check that the drum is also free of adhesive, otherwise this will damage the new felt. Remember to note down where the various electrical connectors go and tie back the wires on re-assembly so they don't rub on the drum.
