Answer this question

Hi, I had to remove the counterweight to put the seal, but having issues replacing it. Do you have a picture how the counterweight is placed in this model?

The best pictures we can offer are on the attached video at around 3 minutes. The ring appears to be rested onto the front in the surrounding clips and then screws located between these clips are tightened to hold and lock the weight in place.

Answer this question

I have rechecked it is the right part, and fit it myself with the very useful online video. But the door does not want to close, and opens up without locking into place! i had a new door catch a while ago and that all seems fine! any help appreciated.

  • You probably don't want to hear this but it is critical that the seal and its retaining strap are fitted and seated absolutely correctly in the lip of the washer front at all points of the circumference - slightly proud anywhere and the door will not latch closed. Once I had done this the door closed and locked properly....... By No - Teddington - 18 January 2012
