  • You have to buy the threaded connector for it, I had the problem with my red threaded connector being stuck to the broken hose so I purchased one along with this hose. you get the bit that fixes on to the metal tubing, just the threaded connector you need. By Madbrush - Glasgow - 11 May 2010

Replacing the hose is likely to resolve your problem.

Answer this question

Is there a washer missing in the part that screws to the actual vacuum maybe? I have to say I have had my Henry for years and it has never let me down before. I look forward to hearing from you with suggestions of what it culd be. Many thanks....

If you have checked for a blockage but have not replaced the filters then this is where I would start. After replacing check for any whistles from air leaks.

Answer this question

My Henry has a very low suction, the metal pipes are clear but can't get any suction from the plastic tube. I've tried blowing down it but no use, and because of the bend in the tube I can't insert anything down it to clear it. I've also bought some new dust bags so that's not the problem. Why don't the Henrys have a blow out feature as some vacuums have?

Have a read through our advice centre to see if your problem is covered in there. Alternatively give Numatic a call to ask their advice on what would increase the suction power of your appliance.

Unfortunately we don't have this information, but if you check in the 'Models This Part Fits' section then you'll see if your appliance is compatible.

Answer this question

I think the plastic end may have become distorted although I cannot see any damage. It doesn't stay on the steel pipe when I am hoovering but can I just buy a new end or do I have to buy a whole new hose? Also, why is the longer than standard hose cheaper??

Hi Mumplus3 I'm afraid that the end of the hose does not come as a separate part, only with the rest of the hose. This hose is cheaper than other shorter hoses as this one - http://www.espares.co.uk/part/vacuum-cleaners/numatic-henry/p/1086/531/0/0/479232/hose-assembly.html This is because the above link is for an RSV hose, which is favoured by professionals for it's sturdier build at the end you screw on to the vacuum. Hope this helps!
