- Check the thermal cut outs on the top of the heater as they have probably failed. The heater will probably require replacement as I dont think the cut outs are available for this model.
- There is no heat , does this mean I will need a new tumble dryer relay/pcb ( printed circuit board ) ? And if so, is it easy to fit ?

Check if any heat is felt in the drum when it stops as there may be a heater fault.
every time i switch my tumble dryer (CANDY cc2-270) on.... it seems to trip my fuse box out....... i was going to buy the relay which is avalable on this site ...... please could anyone help .... :(
- my hoover tumble had the same symptoms - i replaced the relay but it still tripped the mains. Turned out to be a burned out motor causing a direct short circuit one of the windings.

Hoover Model HLV8LCG-80 tumble dryer No Heat. I tested the Heater and thermostats that are attached to the heater and they are fine. Any suggestions please.

you would need to test the rest of the dryer heating circuit to eliminate any issues with the wiring but it is likely to be the PCB, check this video for more help www.youtube.com/watch?v=trJXdqNBn7M&t just copy and paste into your browser.
Changed heater element and still blowing cold air....everything else works as it should, cleaned all fluff and condenser

If the water in the base has not drained to the container it may shut off the heating to prevent leaking and damage. Check the pressure switch under the drum.
I HAVE A CREDA CONDENSER DRYER AND WHEN I TURN IT ON IT CLICKS OFF AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS.

Check if there is a fault with the heater as this may be the problem.
When pressing 'on' the drum starts even before pressing the start button but does not heat until you press 'start'. The cycle then works through until progress light changes to 'stop' however the drum continues to rotate 1 Answer

It sounds like this is likely to be caused by a problem with this control board.
I replaced the on on switch fitting but still have same problem. If you hold the on switch in the dryer will work but as soon as you release it is will not stay on. Could it be the PCB or do you have any other advice ?
- I had the same problem. It's the relay board.
My dryer was working perfectly - then it just stopped -no power light on. We have checked the fuse in the plug - that is fine - the swithch is also working. Could it be the PCB? Would be glad of any advice. Thank you Leesylou
- Sounds similar to my problem with a hoover dryer which uses the same relay. Works great after replacing this part.
dryer when switched on just clicks when you nudge the plastic weel on the back it starts but when it stops to reverse cycle it will not start till you nudge the weel at the back again

It would be best to call Hoover and get a diagnosis on the phone before purchasing, as it could be a different fault instead of the PCB. Once you've found out which part is needed, we'll be sure to have it.
how do I go about replacing the tumble dryer relay/pcb on my Hoover HDC6, cant seem to find any guides, any help very much appreciated, regards
- ** Unplug dryer from mains before starting work *** 1. Remove three screws from back top of dryer holding lid in place. 2. Slide lid back about an inch and lift to remove. NB: Plastic edging strips may not be attached to wooden lid panel, so be careful when removing. 3. Remove control knob from front panel. This can just be pulled off, but may require the use of a large flat blade screwdriver to prise it loose. 4. Remove two screws from top front edges of dryer holding plastic fascia in place. 5. Remove two indicator lights from front panel by pulling them back into the dryer body. Take note of which colour wire is in which position. 6. Slide plastic fascia panel right (as you face the front of the dryer) and then pull to remove. 7. Remove two screws from top front edge of dryer holding metal front panel in place. 8. Gently pull front panel forwards and carefully bend top edge down to reveal screws holding relay PCB in place. Remove PCB. 9. Taking careful note of current position, transfer one wire at a time from old to new PCB. 10. Secure new PCB using two screws, but fit from INSIDE dryer (to make future removal easier). 11. Carefully bend top edge of metal front panel back to original position and refit two screws to top edge. 12. Replace plastic fascia panel taking note to line up all plastic lugs (including one near the top of the panel). Refit two screws to top edges. 13. Refit two indicator lights (on my machine, the one with the blue wire was nearest the control knob). 14. Refit lid, lining up holes on edges with brass bolts on top of dryer. 15. Secure lid with three screws at back. 16. Plug into mains and test.
