  • Do not use this with a septic tank. It is sufficient to kill germs in the pipe and is twice the lethal quantity for the microbes in the tank., which will seriously degrade decomposition in the tank.   • I'd be very very wary of using with a septic tank. It very caustic sodium hydroxide and (like bleach) I think will kill off the bacteria working in your tank.     This unblocker will kill germs on contact and dissolve blockages, therefore speeding up the process of decomposition in a septic tank.

    We believe this product is specifically for a bathroom sink so would not be suitable for a Cess pit.
