I am aware that it is opposite thread but the oven has been in use for 10 years or so, is there a particular method for releasing this nut. Not sure about using WD40 in the oven as the smell would linger.
- I struggled with removing the fan blade from my NEFF oven. 10mm nut came off ok using socket set and just holding the blade in position with my hand, problem was then removing the additional shaped washer and the blade itself. Found that gripping the threaded end with some mole grips and them rotating the blade by hand did the trick, although I had to work at it.
- It doesn't matter ,as if your changing the whole fan assembly you don't need any of the old fan,,) and wd40 is fine to use ,but clean off all parts left in oven ,
- I've just removed mine from my cooker thats been used every day for more than ten years. You are right to unscrew the nut by turning clock wise(this is opposite to normal).Hold the fan blade with one hand - maybe with a glove on and using a 10mm spanner undo the nut, it does not matter if you have to use excessive force or even shear the fan motor spindle as obviously you are removing the fan blade to replace the fan motor i presume.
When i turn the oven on there is a delay thats getting longer before the fan starts. Does this mean it needs replacing? 2 Answers
- A Slower and slower start for the fan was symptomatic of the need for a new one. But beware - the element relies on the airflow to cool it Left un cooled it will eventually blow , as mine did , resulting in another 20 quid down the pan. Change the fan now and you might be lucky.
- Sounds like you mighht have a loose conection or it on its way out. I would just wait till it packs in or open up back and check all spade conectors if it is not to much hastle for yourself
I have a Smeg Double oven 5 burner cooker; the fan is moving but making a noise. Could this be the bearings or is it loose. the element fells like it heats up but does not seem to get very hot. 1 Answer

We believe it is likely to be the fan motor bearings causing the noise, check this first before suspecting anything else.
I have a Bosch HBM13B251B/47 and would like to know if this is a direct and easy replacement fan.

There are 3 Screw mounts at tips of a 85 mm 'equilateral triangle' formation and 2 additional screw mounts 85 mm apart and 50 mm to spindle centre
Hi I have a Kenwood CK304FS. The two plastic connectors to the fan motor have broken off. I am presuming I need a new complete fan. Will this item be suitable?

This universal fan will only fit depending on the size of your original fan with details on our website, the correct fan for your model is stock number ES1067680.
I changed the fan on my oven and followed all the instructions as guided but when I turn it on its works but its a lot louder than it was originally! does this mean its been fitted wrong? when the cooling fan is on its quite quiet and smooth but when the main fan comes on its noisy! any suggestions?

Remove the racks temporary as these can rattle with the vibration and check the fan is not catching on anything.
Hello I have model RCM10FRKP.. My problem is that the thermostat on the fan would not work (ie full blast all the time). 1 Answer
We took the oven out of it place to look for the model number. Since returning to it's place the fan no longer comes on, the light for the fan oven does not light up and it does not work at all. Will replacing the fan and motor include temperature control (thermostat)? How does the thermostat work on a fan assisted oven? Where is the sensor?

If your cooker has a cooling fan and it is not working then this may be the cause. Note: Many grill's must have the door open or the top oven thermostat may cycle the element when hot.
