Brush Bar And Soleplate Kit (Clutchless Models)

If your vacuum isn't picking up as well as it used to, it may be time to replace the brushbar and soleplate. This genuine spare is easy to fit and gets great customer reviews.

Please Note: To ensure that you have a clutchless model, look for a control knob on the front right hand side of your Dyson vacuum.  If your machine has a knob it is a clutched model.  If your machine does not have a knob it is a non-clutched model.

Specification:

  • Brushroll: Made of tough ABS plastic with nylon bristles
  • Soleplate: Made of tough ABS plastic, includes fasteners for fitting
  • Includes fasteners for fitting to the Dyson

    Another good genuine Dyson part

As always, the service from Espares is precise with prompt delivery. This part is only available as a genuine Dyson high quality part, and from experience I know that it is intuitive to see how it fits and to actually fit it. The only chance of difficulty with Dyson vacuum cleaners is possibly getting the drive belt back onto the motor drive shaft, if you have weak fingers. I know that my wife would not be able to do it, for example. A small problem with these Dysons is that you always have to buy both the brush roller and sole-plate together, making it a bit more expensive than one might expect.

Check the brush bar for blockages or if the brush bar belt has snapped. Ensure the soleplate tabs are fitted into the bumper strip and fasten the soleplate using the securing tabs.

If the sole plate is worn or damaged it should be replaced. If the machine is picking up poorly we would suggest replacing the filters first.

Could the brush bar brushes be worn causing it to be to heavy to push

On deep pile the cleaner head will draw the brushes to the carpet with the passing air. This machine is automatic adjusting for cleaner head height so no manual adjustment can change this. Make sure your brushes are rotating but replacing them is unlikely to improve the effort needed to use it.
