I broke the thermostat capillary while working on the regulator housing assembly so now I'm faced with replacing the thermostat. But it's far from obvious how I withdraw the old capillary from inside the side wall of the fridge and then insert and correctly route the new one. I assume I will have to remove the fridge from under the worktop (damn!!!) to gain access to the back, but what then?! I don't want to move the fridge until the stat is delivered.

Hello ralphclark. Basically, the end of the thermostat sits either on a bracket, or in a hole in the inner fridge wall, from where it can monitor the temperature. This part will be accessed either one of two ways - locate it and you'll be able to tell which. It could be that it is behind a panel which can be removed from the inside of the fridge, or it might be that you have to get round the back of the fridge to unhouse the 'stat.
