Laundry and Dishwasher Temperature Probe

The Temperature Sensor in your washer dryer or dishwasher connects to the heating element. This sensor ensures your machine is at the correct temperature whilst on a cycle. If the sensor is faulty or damaged, your items will be either washed in water that is too hot or too cold.

Use this replacement from eSpares to restore your appliance back to full working and this time at the correct temperature.

Genuine spare part for select AEG, Arthur Martin, De Dietrich, Electrolux, John Lewis, Privileg, Tricity Bendix and Zanussi dishwashers, tumble dryers and washing machines.

Please check the suitable model fit list to ensure that this is the correct part for your appliance.

My heating element is fine but the machine (Zanussi IZ1600) does not pass the initial heating cycle after loading with water - suggesting the water is thought to be already hot enough. However if this is the case why doesn't it continue the wash cycle?

You will get a reading through the probe which should change resistance when you hold it in your hand, test it before suspecting anything else.

Answer this question

my tumble dryer is not heating the clothes. My element is good as it heats up but after a minute or so it cuts out.

If the element heats and goes off it suggests the module thinks it is hot enough. This sounds like a sensor problem but you may have to replace it to completely identify the problem.
