Hi thel15, if the washing machine isn't working, but the lights are still on, it could be any number of things causing the problem. Basically, there could be a problem at any point from when the water enters the washing machine, to when it drains out. Check out this video of how a washing machine works: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1392/how-a-washing-machine-works.html. Use this as your guide and check for any blockages, build up or damage to any of the parts of your washer.
