I cannot get the old filter off to replace it and am afraid of breaking the entire assembly- do you have any tips for doing this? cheers

We have no information on this but it looks like it may be a push fit. If you have a replacement you could either try and soften the plastic by placing in warm water before trying to remove. Or carefully cut off the damaged one using a small hacksaw and push the new parts together.
